They provide expert guidance on medicines management to service users, carers, and clinical staff, ensuring services are patient-centred and responsive to needs. The role involves developing services to meet changing clinical and operational requirements while maintaining compliance with legislation and guidelines. They must also exercise professional judgment in urgent situations, justifying any necessary deviations. They are expected to set an example for colleagues and uphold the highest standards of healthcare practice. Responsibilities and dutiesClinical LeadershipProvide leadership and direction to the clinical team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement clinical protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Serve as the designated Nominated Individual, responsible for overseeing the clinic's regulatory compliance and adherence to prescribing standards.Represent the clinic in all matters related to regulatory inspections and audits.Clinical GovernanceDevelop, implement, and monitor clinical governance frameworks to maintain and enhance the quality of care provided.Regularly assess and review clinical policies and procedures to ensure they align with the latest industry standards and best practices.Prescriber ManagementOversee the management and supervision of prescribers, ensuring their adherence to ethical and legal standards.Collaborate with prescribers to optimise patient care, prescriber experience, medication management, and treatment plans.Support the Registered Manager in the recruitment of new clinical staff.Clinical Documentation and Record-KeepingDevelop and maintain comprehensive clinical documentation and record-keeping systems to ensure accurate and thorough patient records.Implement processes for securely storing and managing patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.Patient Education and SupportDevelop and implement patient education programs to ensure patients have access to accurate information regarding medical cannabis usage, potential benefits, risks, and alternatives.Provide ongoing clinical support and guidance to patients regarding their treatment plans, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.Quality AssuranceImplement processes for monitoring and evaluating the quality and efficacy of medical cannabis products and treatments.Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations, addressing any identified issues promptly.Research and DevelopmentStay informed about the latest research and developments in medical cannabis treatments and therapies.Staff Training and DevelopmentProvide training and professional development opportunities for clinical staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care.Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the clinical team.Regulatory ComplianceStay up-to-date with relevant laws, CQC regulations, and guidelines pertaining to medical cannabis and ensure the clinic\'s practices are in compliance.Collaborate with the Registered Manager, regulatory agencies, and legal counsel to address any compliance issues and mitigate risks.Preferred QualificationRegistration with General Pharmaceutical Council, including meeting CPD requirementsMaintain own GPhC registration and revalidation requirementsIndependent Prescribing QualificationPostgraduate diploma or Master\'s degree in Clinical PharmacyPreferred Person SpecificationProfessional knowledge acquired through a vocational degree in PharmacyUp-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and CQC standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectivelyAbility to work under pressure and adapt within a changing environmentStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionalsCompetence in using relevant IT systemsAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamGood conflict resolution and analytical skillsExperience in planning and delivering training sessions and clinical servicesEssential ExperienceClinical Governance Management experienceExperience in primary careExperience with working in a digital healthcare environmentDiversity, Equity & Inclusion at Chapter 2At Chapter 2, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming workplace where everyone belongs.
