Position Trainee Supported Housing Officer — Sapphire Independent Housing Contract 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Location London, England. Overview We are seeking an eager, motivated individual to join our supported housing team. As a trainee, you will receive on‑the‑job and formal training to develop into a full Supported Housing Officer, helping vulnerable people prepare for independent living. Responsibilities Assist team members and advise clients on welfare benefits, housing, training and employment, supporting them towards independent living. Support all‑round provision of a high‑quality management service. Qualifications and Experience Ability to assist vulnerable people (preferably demonstrated in a paid or voluntary capacity). Potential to deal positively and innovatively with clients exhibiting challenging behaviour, building good working relationships and assessing risk. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload, meet deadlines and keep accurate records. Analytical skills to evaluate data and produce clear, concise reports. Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, verbally and in writing. Knowledge or empathy with needs of vulnerable clients, including mental health and/or substance dependency issues (ideal). Proficiency with IT and Microsoft Office applications. A‑Level standard (or equivalent) education with solid written and numeric skills. Willingness to work shifts on a seven‑day rota system.
