Mechanical CAD Engineer – Aerolux (Exclusive via RPS Recruitment)

Aerolux, a leading designer and manufacturer of world-class aircraft galley and cabin products, has joined Zoppas Industries and is preparing for major expansion - set to triple in size within three years. The company is seeking a Mechanical CAD Engineer to strengthen its growing design team and contribute to the creation of next-generation aerospace products.

As a Mechanical CAD Engineer, you’ll develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings for products used by airlines and OEMs worldwide. You’ll combine creativity with precision engineering, ensuring every design is production-ready and compliant with aerospace standards.

This position offers excellent career development for a Mechanical CAD Engineer who wants hands-on involvement in design, prototyping, and production. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team that values innovation, quality, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks (or similar)
• Develop concepts and production designs for metal, plastic, and composite components
• Apply GD&T and design for manufacturability principles
• Support product improvements and design optimisation projects
• Collaborate with global teams to validate and refine designs

Key Requirements:

• Degree-qualified Mechanical CAD Engineer with 2–3 years’ experience
• Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
• Understanding of materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Aerospace experience advantageous but not essential
