SEND Child Support Worker Location: ScunthorpeStart Date: ASAPPay Rate: £90-£115 per day About the Role We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEND Child Support Worker to join a supportive provision rated 'Good' by Ofsted in Scunthorpe. This rewarding role will enable you to make a meaningful impact on children with a range of special educational needs, behavioural challenges, and difficulties in regulating emotions. Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support to KS3 and KS4 children with SEND. Help pupils access learning and participate fully in classroom activities. Support children with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction. Use visual aids, structured routines, and sensory strategies to meet individual needs. Assist with personal care when required. Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where children can build confidence and independence. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents. Qualifications Experience supporting children in SEND settings, hospitals, schools, nurseries, or alternative provisions. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children. Confidence working with pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs, or developmental delays. Understanding of the value of structure, clear communication, and consistency. Reliability, resilience, and commitment to helping children achieve their full potential.
