Associate Professor in Rural and Coastal Health (CHS272) Join the University of Lincoln as an Associate Professor in Rural and Coastal Health. This role is located in Lincoln, England. The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor to the Lincoln Institute for Rural and Coastal Health (LIRCH). LIRCH is the country’s first integrated and multidisciplinary research institute dedicated to rural and coastal health research, funded with £10.9 million by Research England’s Expanding Excellence in England (E3) fund. Responsibilities Support the strategic growth of research within LIRCH, engaging with partners, collaborators and activities within and beyond the University to develop external networks. Produce and lead research projects in areas of specialism, generating income through research, scholarship and externally supported projects. Lead the LIRCH academic and technical team in investigating health outcomes and inequalities experienced by rural, coastal and remote communities, and assess community and infrastructure readiness for place‑led interventions. Contribute to strategic priorities, produce impactful research and help create future academic and community leaders of rural and coastal health. Qualifications & Experience Senior academic appointments, preferably at the Associate Professor level or higher. Track record of leading multidisciplinary research projects, including securing external funding. Demonstrated expertise in rural or coastal health, public health, epidemiology or related social and environmental sciences. Ability to build and sustain networks with external stakeholders, including local integrated care systems and community groups.
