Grid Connection Engineer Location: Midlands / Hybrid Day Rate: £650 - £850 (outside IR35) Duration: 12 months Myn is an AI driven marketplace that connects the candidates, clients and recruiters. We are looking for a Grid Connection Engineer to support the connection of renewable assets to the UK grid. You’ll manage DNO/NGESO applications, ensure G99/G100 compliance and design HV substations. Experience with grid codes and connection agreements essential. Chartered status or equivalent preferred. Please note this is a 12 month contract. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit G99/G100 applications to DNOs and NGESO. Design HV/LV substations and oversee protection coordination. Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, and clients to manage connection milestones. Conduct grid impact assessments and feasibility studies. Support commissioning and energisation planning. Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems. Experience with UK grid connection processes (DNO/NGESO). Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or PowerFactory. Strong knowledge of ENA standards and UK grid codes.
