Veterinary Surgeon – Leonard BrothersVets – Whitchurch, England Salary up to £75,000 DOE (pro rata for part time) Leonard BrothersVets have an exciting new opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet looking to join a supportive practice, working in whatever way they feel comfortable. We would prefer an experienced vet with a surgery certificate or bias but are happy to consider any good candidate. You will have access to the expertise of experienced clinicians and multiple certificate holders. Schedule & Responsibilities We offer an excellent balance between consults and ops, with every vet having the opportunity to do both consults and surgeries in every shift worked. We offer 15‑minute consults and insert catch‑up slots in between to allow vets to catch‑up if a consult runs over, to write notes, make phone calls, or to discuss cases with other vets. We are looking for a vet to work 27.5 hours a week made up of two 8:30‑6:30 shifts and one 8:30‑5:30 shift. Out‑of‑hours shifts are very limited: evenings between 6:30 pm‑9 pm and weekends 8:30 am‑5 pm. Team Testimonials “I’ve been working at Leonard Brothers for 6 years after 18 months in mixed practice. Working here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The team has always been very welcoming and friendly, management are approachable and supportive. I'm able to explore my interests, broaden my skillset and learn new things every day. The team has a diverse range of interests and skills, so there is always someone to ask for opinions on trickier cases and help during surgery. Our diary has a good mix of consulting and procedure time allowing me to work up my own cases and care for my patients in the way I would want for my own pet.” – Alex, Veterinary Surgeon Practice and Culture Our modern practice is equipped with fantastic facilities and we have a brilliant team.
