The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles and trailers for Tesco.Hours of work: 4 on 4 off 6pm-6amResponsibilitiesService, inspection, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailersElectrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installationOverhaul electrical equipment and componentsSetting and operating of machine tools and equipmentWelding and metal workingDepartment of Transport (MOT) testing preparationParts ordering and stores managementSupport team members including Apprentice Technicians as requiredAccurately record time and detail of completed jobsCarry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directedQualifications:Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.Opportunities to gain training in:IRTECLOLER / Weight TestBPWOperator Licence AwarenessDeck TrainingFLT (new & refresher)Opportunity to join a growing organisation£1000 refer a friend schemeCycle to Work SchemeMedical benefitsLife assurance24/7 employee support serviceOngoing reward and recognition schemesPullman recognise Equity, Diversity & Inclusion as a key part of our People Strategy.
