English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Lecturer Join GEDU Global Education as an EAP Lecturer. This full‑time, permanent role is based in Manchester (on‑site) and offers a salary of £51,000. The position supports a range of higher education programs—from foundation to masters level—across our partners: Bath Spa University, University of Suffolk, Canterbury Christ Church University, Oxford Brookes University, and Pearson partnerships. The role requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. What You’ll Be Doing Designing and documenting bespoke courses, digital resources, workshop plans and individual schemes of work to develop study skills across the curriculum. Delivering, evaluating and improving teaching to enhance the quality of learning and the overall student experience, in line with GBS’s Learning and Teaching strategy. Providing feedback on individual and class progress in academic writing and other study skills. Conducting tutorial consultations, offering constructive comments tailored to each student, and suggesting ways to improve work and working practices. Recording appointment details for statistical, evaluation and quality purposes, and referring students to other services as appropriate. Engaging with the VLE and research resources and facilitating student learning through online resources and activities. Contributing to GBS quality assurance systems and processes. About You Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable). Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area. Possess a proven track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds on HE programmes. Have demonstrated experience of providing individual and group study‑skills support in response to identified learning needs. Willing to lead a specific area of literacy development—such as reading, writing, critical thinking, numeracy, digital skills, research skills, project/dissertation support or peer‑assisted learning. Show a high level of digital literacy and advanced communication skills. Desirable Expertise in digital educational resources development, course design and curriculum development. DELTA qualification. A Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or a commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or international equivalent).
