About the Role
North Lincolnshire Council is seeking a dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Front Door/Assessment Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate social worker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safeguarding vulnerable children, young people, and adults.

As a Social Worker in the Front Door/Assessment Team, you will be at the forefront of social care, conducting vital assessments and managing initial referrals. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive the right support and safeguarding interventions at the earliest point of contact.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families in response to initial referrals.

Ensure that all safeguarding concerns are identified, prioritized, and addressed effectively.

Collaborate with partner agencies and professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to safeguarding.

Manage and document caseloads effectively while ensuring all assessments are completed in a timely manner.

Deliver interventions in line with best practice standards, national frameworks, and legislation (Children Act 1989, Care Act 2014).

Ensure that service users receive appropriate care and support throughout the assessment process.

What We're Looking For:

A qualified Social Worker with a Social Work degree (or equivalent) and HCPC registration.

Experience working within an assessment team or front door service in children's or adults' social care.

A strong knowledge of safeguarding and relevant social care legislation.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies.

The ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines in a busy environment.

A compassionate and dedicated approach to working with vulnerable individuals and families.

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
