The responsibilities of the Tax Senior position include working directly with other BNN tax professionals, our clients, and other advisors to prepare federal and state income tax returns. You will also utilize tax research tools to help determine the proper tax treatment of a variety of client transactions.Competencies and Position RequirementsDedicated to high-caliber client serviceExcellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skillsDemonstrates ability to manage tax engagements to a successful and efficient completionDemonstrates advanced knowledge of corporate taxConverses comfortably and professionally with various levels of client managementMeets deadlines while meeting or exceeding quality requirementsDemonstrates creativity and resourcefulness in resolving problems and preparing analysesPrioritizes workload and assists staff in developing prioritization skillsMotivates staff via professional and technical reputation, enthusiasm, and positive attitudeWillingness to travel and attend business development events on or off business hoursEducation and ExperienceTwo or more years’ experience in taxation with a public accounting firmMasters or other form of 150 college credit hours with requisite accounting related courses (Bachelor degrees may be considered)Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greaterExperience in the financial institution/banking industry and/or desire to learnBackground working with ASC 740 Tax Accounting preferredAbility to work a flexible schedule based on business needsSupportive and collaborative cultureBNN strongly believes in maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.
