Apprentice Aftersales Customer Advisor – Scottish Apprenticeships Job Overview We’re recruiting customer‑focused individuals to join our fantastic Aftersales department as Apprentice Aftersales Customer Advisors. As an Apprentice, you will work across all areas of the Aftersales department, gaining a full understanding of how the team collaborates to deliver an excellent customer experience both digitally and face‑to‑face. You will act as the ‘expert’ in Application Software, enhancing your digital skills on multiple platforms, providing solutions and support to colleagues and relieving pressure on the technical IT help desk. You will also support workshop technicians with parts management and customer interaction. Benefits Mentor to support you in the workplace. Dedicated training and development coach. Full training on all in‑house and external systems. Uniform supplied. Help to achieve your driving licence in your second year of training – free lessons and two attempts at the test. Day‑to‑Day Duties Review, forward‑plan workloads and check for accurate and detailed information. Communicate with the workshop to ensure parts availability. Receipting, issuing and controlling stock. Assist customers bringing vehicles for service or repair. Identify required parts and source them using catalogues and internal systems. Communicate vehicle progress to customers. Advise on any faults or repairs required, providing clear and accurate solutions. Prepare customer reports and invoices. Essential Skills Achieve or be working toward National 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths, English and one other subject. Good levels of literacy and numeracy. Strong communication skills. Interest in developing digital knowledge and skills. Passion for great customer service. Willingness to learn and listen to instructions. Ability to build good relationships with team and other departments. Ability to ask questions and learn quickly on the job. Willingness to use own initiative.
