Job Overview Are you an experienced and passionate Childcare or Early Years professional looking to share your skills with the next generation of teachers, nursery nurses and child carers? Haywards Heath College is recruiting for an Assessor Trainer in Education and Childcare to join our team and help shape our students' future careers by supporting the development of vocational competence and wider skills that relate to employability. Our Assessor Trainer will assist with work‑placement assessments on our T Level in Education and Childcare course. We have excellent links with local early‑years providers and schools who give our learners opportunities to complete their work placements. You will be supported by teaching staff and our Industry Placement Officer (IPO) in assessing students in terms of their work‑placed competencies. Responsibilities Assist with work‑placement assessments on the T Level in Education and Childcare course. Support students in developing vocational competence and employability skills. Collaborate with teaching staff and the IPO to assess students' work‑placed competencies. Benefits Pro rata of £25,783 - £26,972 per annum (i.e. £10,313.20 - £10,788.80) for 14.8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Local Government Pension Scheme – the Group contributes 20.4% of your actual pensionable pay. 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days with continuous service, plus bank holidays and college closure days over the Christmas period which are not deducted from entitlement and a wellbeing day; optional purchase of up to 5 additional days.
