This role combines management and individual contributor responsibilities. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge technology as part of an internationally established team. We seek someone eager for new challenges and ready to contribute to our legacy of creating world-class games.This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s state-of-the-art game development studio in Edinburgh, Scotland.WHAT WE DOThe Core Security team is a global group of programmers specializing in designing, implementing, and delivering advanced anti-cheat and anti-piracy technologies.The Core Security team collaborates with the broader development team to optimize game performance and ensure efficient use of system resources.RESPONSIBILITIESManage and influence a team of software engineers to build, scale, and maintain innovative products using C++.Define team objectives and key results, create actionable plans to achieve them, and communicate progress through roadmaps to technical stakeholders.Conduct regular 1:1 performance reviews to assess progress, give feedback, and realign priorities as needed.Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of systems within the broader architecture.Apply the latest technical knowledge to solve complex problems and drive team impact.QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of professional engineering experience, including 2+ years in a management role.Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and drive collaboration at all levels.Demonstrated ownership, proactivity, and drive to achieve objectives while leading a team to success.SKILLSLeadership in technical environments and hands-on managerial experience.Expertise in C++ development, with a focus on writing highly performant, clean, and efficient code.Experience working with shared codebases and source control platforms.Familiarity with Agile software development processes.HOW TO APPLYPlease apply with a resume and cover letter demonstrating how you meet the skills above.
