Campus Maintenance Technician – GEDU Global Education Department: Facilities, Location: Leeds, Contract: Permanent About Us: GBS is a higher education provider offering a range of sector‑relevant courses across ten campuses in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester. Role Summary The Campus Maintenance Technician will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, manage building and equipment repairs, oversee refurbishment projects, and support the Estates and Facilities teams across the GBS UK estates portfolio. The position requires flexible working, including occasional out‑of‑hours and weekend coverage, to minimise disruption and ensure the smooth completion of maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities Preventative and reactive maintenance of facilities and equipment Building and equipment maintenance, including M&E systems Ensure health, safety and regulatory compliance Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records Support refurbishment and fit‑out project planning Travel to other GBS UK campuses as required Required Skills & Experience 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ, or demonstrable experience to the same standard Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems Manual skills and knowledge of refurbishment techniques Flexible, proactive approach with a "can do" attitude Familiarity with COSHH requirements for equipment and chemicals Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a wider facilities team Full, clean driving licence What We Offer 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays 1 extra day of leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days Workplace pension scheme Tuition reimbursement for career development courses Flexible benefits: Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery, Techscheme, and more Perks@Work discounts platform, wellbeing centre, and more Reward and recognition programme £500 award for employee referrals Discretionary annual performance bonus "GBS has been a good place for professional growth.
