The Westminster Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission exists to promote action and reflection on peace and social justice in the Diocese of Westminster, in the light of the Gospel and Catholic Social Teaching. We are now looking for a Justice and Peace Co‑ordinator to join us on a full‑time, permanent basis, working Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Benefits Salary of £38,000 per annum 23 days’ annual leave + bank holidays Pension scheme for eligible employees – 5% paid by the employer Salary exchange (salary sacrifice) for pension Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to work scheme Vouchers for free eye tests and £50 towards the cost of glasses Reward Gateway scheme offering discounts on a wide range of products and services Role As our Justice and Peace Co‑ordinator, you will support our Justice and Peace Commission and strengthen justice‑focused activity across parishes, schools and communities. You will work closely with the Auxiliary Bishop and the Commission Chair to shape vision, strategy and advocacy priorities, ensuring the Commission’s decisions are implemented and communicated across the diocese. You will recruit and support a network of Justice and Peace Contacts, facilitate the creation of parish and school groups and raise awareness of issues ranging from local inequality to global injustice. You will also support Laudato Si’ initiatives, represent us at events and manage communications such as newsletters and diocesan updates, ensuring justice and peace activities remain visible, connected and impactful. Provide secretariat support to the Justice and Peace Commission Offer guidance and liaison for parishes, chaplaincies and schools Facilitate events, campaigns and issue‑specific working groups Qualifications Experience in at least one of the following: pastoral ministry, community development, social work, volunteer management or youth work Experience in campaigning or advocacy on justice, peace and life issues Understanding of the social and moral teachings of the Catholic Church Strong project management and people skills The closing date for this role is the 28th November 2025.
