Street Lighting Design Engineer Street Lighting Design Engineer needed for a well‐known design and engineering consultancy organisation. The role can be based out of either their London or Birmingham office on a hybrid basis or fully remote. My client is looking to employ an experienced and well‑rounded Street Lighting Design Engineer who takes pride in their work. The successful candidate would need to be competent in the use of CAD and lighting design software such as Lighting Reality or Calculux and have a good working knowledge of the road lighting industry. Benefits Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum Flexible working 25 days' holidays Pension plan Career progression What the role entails This role involves working within a team of road lighting specialists, ensuring the highest levels of quality in project deliverables. Responsibilities may include project roles on site or working home‑based, with opportunities across several offices nationwide. Experience and qualifications Degree qualified, ideally in a relevant engineering discipline, with years of relevant experience, or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience. Good working knowledge of the road lighting industry. Demonstrable knowledge of relevant design standards, best practice guidance and legislation. LED and CMS design experience, with inspection and testing desirable. Competence in CAD and lighting design software such as Lighting Reality or Calculux. Applied experience of CDM 2015, health & safety management, quality and environmental standards. Effective communication skills in applying engineering principles to road lighting design.
