Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Children’s Paediatric Critical Care Outreach Nurse to join our established Paediatric Critical Care Outreach team. The role involves supporting our Paediatric Critical Care Unit (Level 3 ICU and high‑dependency care) in treating seriously ill children, participating in the North Thames Children’s Acute Transport Service (CATS) nursing shifts, and assessing and escalating deteriorating patients within paediatric wards. Responsibilities Provide expertise to the existing Paediatric Critical Care Outreach team. Assist the Paediatric Critical Care Unit in treating children with critical illness. Rotate onto CATS nursing shifts to support acute transport services. Assess and escal8ate deteriorating patients within paediatric wards. Help develop the critical care outreach service, advance nursing practice and support the expansion of the PCCU network. Qualifications Registered Children’s Nurse. Post‑graduate qualification in Intensive Care Nursing or Emergency medicine. Substantial experience within Critical Care or Emergency Department. Evidence of change‑management experience.
