Lending Director

West One is looking for a highly capable and motivated individual to join their development finance team as a Lending Director. The successful individual will join a well-established development finance lender where they will be responsible for originating development finance facilities as well as managing the portfolio of loans they originate.This role would suit a high performing individual with previous development finance experience in either a bank or non-bank lending business.Key AccountabilitiesGenerating new development finance opportunities by building new relationships and managing existing relationships with developers, broker/intermediaries and property professionals.Originating and structuring development finance opportunities that you will generateYou will be responsible for managing the underwriting and credit process of completing new development finance opportunitiesYou will then be responsible for managing the drawdowns and redemptions of the facilities that are originated ensuring that the portfolio of loans is consistently performingYou will have responsibility to grow out or manage a team around you to assist you in hitting the proposed origination targets and to effectively manage the portfolio of loansThis list is not exhaustive and the duties are liable to change from time to time in line with the needs of the department.Skills & CompetenciesHaving a strong established track record of originating development finance opportunities and managing a portfolio of loans is essentialGreat communication skills essential for dealing with borrowers and brokers/intermediariesPresentation of credit papers to the credit committee and senior managementAbility to work in a fast paced environment in a role that requires you to deal with a wide range of stakeholdersKnowledge & QualificationsKnowledge in reviewing development appraisals and structuring development finance facilitiesKnowledge of the credit underwriting process including the legal process, reviewing valuation and monitoring surveyor reportsPersonal AttributesTeam playerProactiveLogical and organisedProblem solverApproachableHard workingFlexibleArticulateCalm and self-assured #J-18808-Ljbffr
