Stirling Dynamics is recruiting DO-254 System / Hardware / Electronics Engineers to join the Software & Electronics Hardware team. The primary focus of the role will be to support the design and development of our electric actuator controller products for Urban Air Mobility eVTOL aircraft. This role will be predominantly based in the Stirling Dynamics Bristol office with occasional travel to our clients' sites as required. As part of our commitment to flexibility, our staff can choose to work from the offices of our parent company, Expleo, in Preston or Derby if preferred. We will also accept hybrid working or fully remote working. Responsibilities Provide technical and engineering know-how to deliver DO-254 projects through to certification Plan, design, specify, verify and validate electronic controllers for electromechanical aerospace systems Communicate effectively both written and verbal Demonstrate a flexible, can‑do approach Collaborate effectively within a team Manage multiple simultaneous requirements Apply pragmatic and systematic methods Self‑motivate to see tasks through to successful completion Qualifications Engineering Degree – preferably with an electronics bias or relevant experience Minimum of 5 years aerospace product development experience on DO-254 projects Operated at Senior or Principal Engineer level Ability to derive and specify hardware requirements Design and specify system electronics architecture for simple and complex electronics Power electronics and motor drive design experience Experience with DO-254 planning and development phases including SOI audits Applied knowledge of DO-160 Experience with CAN communications interface electronics Experience with electromechanical position sensors – LVDT, RVDT and encoders Experience with FPGA based systems Compensation Grade 5-7 (£45k - £60k+) depending on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
