Volunteer Retail Assistant (Waltham Cross) We are looking for Retail Volunteers to assist us in our Waltham Cross shop. If you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help out, we’d love to hear from you This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to support the essential services of Isabel Hospice. As a Retail Assistant, you will support and assist the team in maximising the shop's income by ensuring the shop floor is fully stocked and properly merchandised, and customers are served efficiently. Commit to at least one regular half‑day weekly session. Session times are:• AM: 9am – 1pm• PM: 1pm – 5pm• Sundays: 10am – 4pm What you’ll be doing Providing the highest standard of service to customers Keeping the shop fully stocked and ensuring items are displayed to show them at their best Operating tills and taking payments Ensuring both stock and cash security procedures are always followed Contributing to keeping the shop and premises clean and tidy Providing support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their roles Promoting the public’s understanding of the work of Isabel Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shop Raising awareness of Gift Aid to our customers Promoting and applying the Isabel Hospice Health & Safety Policy Your skills and Abilities Enjoy working in a team environment Enjoy working with the public Good organisational skills Demonstrate a keen interest in developing good customer care skills Security conscious Demonstrate a keen interest in developing display & merchandising skills Confident in handling cash Benefits to you Meet new people and learn new skills Work with a friendly team and be part of the Isabel family Support your local community Contribute to the provision of care to our patients Comprehensive induction and training Support with your career goals and personal development Opportunities to learn from long‑term volunteers and staff Am I eligible to volunteer?
