Specialty Doctor in CAMHS – Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Join our dynamic Hercules Ward Inpatient Team at Hopewood Hospital, Nottingham as a Specialty Doctor. About the Trust Nottinghamshire Healthcare is a leading NHS Foundation Trust committed to providing exceptional care to patients across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. It also hosts national and regional services such as the National High Secure Deaf Service and the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health. Role Summary As a key member of the team you will provide medical and psychiatric support to the ward, contribute to the teaching and development of medical students, and support the consultant with cross‑cover across the wards on site. Key Responsibilities Provide a supportive role to the Responsible Clinician towards all young people in the respective wards. Support the consultant with cross‑cover across the wards on site, where agreed. Be available to respond to emergency presentations on the ward, including using the Mental Health Act when required. Consult to and support team members in managing cases of perceived high-risk presentations. Qualifications Registered with a licence to practice from the General Medical Council. Previous psychiatric or child and adolescent psychiatric experience desirable. Open to medical candidates with paediatric qualifications. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
