Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further. HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions. The Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI) team's key focus is to support business growth by acting as a central intermediary to FMIs and intermediary institutions. This is achieved by providing robust risk management, commercial oversight and market insight on behalf of the bank and its clients. Within the FMI team, the Network Management & Market Intelligence team (N2MI) is responsible for the recommendation to appoint, and subsequent monitoring of, the Group's network of securities and cash agents, including both affiliates and third parties. N2MI’s focus is on assessing the efficiency and appropriateness of the agents it recommends from a risk, service and cost perspective. We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Senior Migrations Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to sit within the Network Management function, establishing project objectives and requirements, issuing and reviewing RFI/RFP questionnaires, and overseeing the appointment of and migrations to/from agent banks. As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution. In this role you will: Define project objectives and requirements, issuing RFI/RFP questionnaires, evaluating proposals, agent bank selection, contract and SLA negotiation and execution. Identify and select agent banks across all global regions to provide custody and cash services for all HSBC Group companies by following a rigorous and robust selection process. Ensure all agent bank appointments are consistent with regulatory and compliance requirements, in line with HSBC Group internal policies, controls, and agreed internal strategic relationship direction. The jobholder will be required to use judgmental skills and experience when making agent bank selections together with the Network Managers. Conduct all work activity in a highly controlled manner which results in conforming with all external regulations and internal control requirements, HSBC’s external auditors, Internal Audit, Group Audit and Group Compliance. Make sure that the HSBC Group receives a high quality, competitively priced service from its agents based across regions whilst undertaking a wide range of stakeholder engagement and communication. Meeting with senior stakeholders to understand their strategy and the impact on N2MI. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Knowledge of agent banks and market infrastructures and their associated landscape (e.g. regulatory environment and challenges). Previous experience within a network management function or with agent banks with a good knowledge and experience of risk management in financial institutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to present to and work effectively with senior levels of management. Strong client/provider-facing and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting demands and problem solve. Prior experience of complex RFI/RFP/migrations for securities and cash correspondent agent banks would be advantageous. This role is based in London. At HSBC, we’re dedicated to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces.
