OverviewEngineering Manager - Electrical & Power SystemsBase Location: Glasgow, Edinburgh, London or AberdeenBusiness Unit: Part of Xodus Group, Evolv Energies delivers Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design services and Construction & Installation engineering, focused on energy transition, offshore wind, interconnectors and subsea cable projects.RoleThe Engineering Manager - Electrical & Power Systems will be accountable for the delivery of Electrical & Power Systems engineering deliverables to projects. You will provide technical expertise to ongoing projects, bids and proposals and represent Evolv Energies at client and stakeholder meetings as required.Primary Roles & ResponsibilitiesProvide inspirational line management, mentoring and leadership to the Electrical & Power Systems Engineering teamCollaborate on and lead the development of technology, people and growth of team capabilityLead and provide Electrical & Power Systems Engineering input into tenders and project deliverablesLiaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as TAs, SMEs and other discipline EngineersLead Electrical & Power Systems Engineering deliverables through early-stage feasibility studies, preparation of project specifications, design review and assuranceEnsure projects and tenders are delivered in accordance with Evolv Energies and Client engineering requirements with quality assurance throughoutEnsure necessary Electrical Engineering and technical resources are assigned to projects throughout tendering and deliveryIncorporate sound engineering practices and innovation into designs to deliver value for clientsPromote and manage safety in design across projects and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and CDM Principal Designer and Designer rolesRole RequirementsA hands-on approach with can-do attitude; ability to work with a team at all levelsChartered Engineer with demonstrable Electrical Engineering expertise in offshore wind and power transmission, with experience across Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design and Construction/InstallationRecognised expert in offshore wind and power transmission and distribution (HVAC & HVDC) with detailed understanding of Electrical Engineering & Power Systems performance requirementsSignificant experience in an electrical engineering management roleAbility to communicate at all levels within the organisation and with external stakeholdersInterest in developing external and internal relationships and willingness to engage in industry working groups and professional bodiesBenefitsCompetitive SalaryFlexible & Hybrid WorkingPrivate Medical InsuranceCash Plan benefitsPensionLife InsuranceIncome Protection PlanEmployee Assistance ProgrammeAbout Xodus Group & Evolv EnergiesAt Xodus, we are a global energy consultancy powered by the expertise and experience of our diverse people.
