About the Role You’ll be an integral part of a growing Business Services & Tax team, working closely with the Partners and Senior Managers. This is not a “back-room” role – you’ll have direct client exposure and the opportunity to shape how we work. You will be responsible for: Preparing individual tax returns Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) Preparing year-end financial statements and income tax returns for: Trusts Partnerships SMSFs Working with cloud-based platforms including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Class Super Preparing and implementing tax planning strategies and strategic tax advice Providing mentoring and support to junior team members Liaising with the ATO and other government bodies Working with challenging and interesting clients, including small businesses and serious property investors If you enjoy a mix of compliance, tax planning and client interaction, you’ll fit this role. About You We are looking for a motivated, switched-on Accountant who wants to grow with the firm – not just clock in and out. You will ideally have: Degree qualifications in Accounting or related discipline 3+ years’ experience in public practice accounting Strong experience with Xero and QuickBooks (Xero Tax in particular) Experience with Class Super will be highly regarded Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work towards targets High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking with clients regularly A professional, confident and approachable manner A genuine interest in mentoring and supporting junior staff Ready to Take the Next Step?
