Multi-skilled Engineer

OverviewAre you an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer looking for a new challenge? Matthew Walker Puddings, part of Valeo Foods UK, a manufacturer of some of the UK’s best loved snacks and confectionery, is looking for a new member of the teamKey ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across site equipment.Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and corrective tasks using the CMMS system.Support production teams with technical expertise during breakdowns and changeovers.Maintain compliance with site standards including PSSR, LOLER, Legionella, and GMP.Monitor and manage utilities including boilers, compressors, and effluent systems.Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.Liaise with contractors and issue permits to work (PTW) as required.Record accurate maintenance data and complete documentation to audit-ready standards.Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and root cause analysis (RCA).Support and mentor apprentices and junior engineers.QualificationsRecognised Engineering Qualification (e.g., HNC, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or above).Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments.Strong fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.Familiarity with compliance systems (e.g., PPMs, risk assessments, water testing).Computer literate (CMMS, Microsoft Office).You Will BeAn "out of the box" thinker who isn't afraid to share a "light bulb" momentHealth and Safety driven.Willing and able to work both independently and as part of a close team.What we offer you in returnExcellent Career OpportunitiesMatched pension scheme up to 10%Death in serviceCycle to work schemeRetailer discount platformStaff discountAnd plenty more #J-18808-Ljbffr
