English, Maths and Science TutorThe OpportunityYou will be supporting young people on a 1‑1 or small group basis who are not currently accessing full‑time education for various reasons. Many of our young people have not attended school for some time and may have emotional barriers to learning. As a result, we are seeking nurturing Tutors with a patient, flexible approach and a passion for working closely with students to overcome barriers to learning. Sessions will take place face to face either in a community setting or at the young person’s home.Your role with usDeliver one-to-one or small group tuition in Maths and EnglishDevelop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gapsMonitor student progressCreate a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students rebuild their confidence in learningComplete daily attendance and weekly reportsRole detailsPay rate up to GBP30 per hour depending on qualification and experienceUp to 6 hours per week per studentStart date: ASAPLocation: TamesideDuration: ongoingAccess to our Resource Hub which includes learning materialsAccess to CPD accredited courses and trainingTo be eligible for the Core Subjects Tutor role, you needPrevious experience working with young people with SEND such as ADHD, SEMH, and those who have been permanently excluded; this role is suitable for those with previous experience within a PRUHold the right to work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationBe able to reference the last two years of education/employmentApply NowPlease apply within or contact Hannah on (phone number removed) for more informationProspero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
