Salary: £44,805 - £52,755 depending on experience Contractual hours: 37.5 Basis: Full time Region: West Midlands Job category/type: Clinical Date posted: 20/11/2025 Job reference: REQ002075 First Contact Practitioner: Permanent About the Role We at Cora Health are delighted to be growing our team of talented clinicians and are currently looking for an experienced physiotherapist to join our team as a First Contact Practitioner who is passionate about providing high‑quality patient‑centred care as part of a large multidisciplinary team in and around the Wolverhampton area. You will be working across integrated community services, providing specialist MSK physiotherapy assessment and treatment in a mixture of clinic‑based settings, acting as an autonomous practitioner and working in GP surgeries/primary care networks as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team. You will manage a diverse caseload, making decisions about the best course of action for patients’ care, considering differential diagnoses, while supporting patients to set their own goals and be confident in their approach to self‑manage with shared decision making at the heart of every consultation. As an experienced First Contact Practitioner, you will provide clinical expertise, act as first‑contact physiotherapist and decide on the best course of action for patients’ care, including undifferentiated conditions. We are also looking for someone with leadership or supervisory skills to oversee the FCP clinicians. This role involves seeing patients without prior contact with their GP to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan. Progressing and requesting investigations to facilitate diagnosis and choice of treatment regime while understanding the information limitations using your clinical knowledge to act on results to aid diagnosis, management and discharge of patients. You will deliver programmes of supported patient self‑management, fostering behavioural change, optimising individuals' physical activity, mobility, fulfilment of personal goals and independence, and minimising the need for pharmacological interventions. While undertaking comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with varied physical and emotional needs, you must formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes and ensure effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge are achieved.
