The Best Connection Employment Group are currently seeking HGV Class 2 Drivers for one of our major clients in Andover. Applicants must have experience using chains for securing loads. Rate of Pay: £16.50 per hour £25.99 per hour for overtime Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 05:00 - until finished (day shifts) This role offers a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate Responsibilities of the HGV Class 2 Driver: Operate a Class 2 vehicle delivering metal goods to various locations Secure loads safely using chains and other appropriate equipment Perform complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle (tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls) Report any safety issues on standard reports Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner Follow all required safety policies and procedures Requirements of the HGV Class 2 Driver: Category C Licence CPC Digi Tacho Experience using chains for load securing Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Category C Licence, Digi Tacho and CPC card, along with proven experience in using chains for securing loads.
