We are seeking applications from confident and enthusiastic professionals who hold RMN/Social Work/OT registrations and are passionate about working in a perinatal service with experience in a mental health, care coordination role. Main duties of the job Post holders will carry out specialist assessments of women referred into the service, manage an allocated caseload alongside senior clinicians, and deliver high‑quality care. We welcome applications from both male and female applicants. Prior perinatal experience is not required – training will be provided. The team supports flexible working and offers excellent training and development opportunities. About us Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of secondary mental health care and specialist services, including perinatal mental health, inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, and forensic services. It also offers physical health and well‑being services in partnership with local providers. Job responsibilities Post holders will carry out specialist assessments of referral women, manage an allocated caseload, work alongside senior clinicians, and deliver high‑quality care. Person Specification Qualifications RMN/Social Worker/Occupational Therapy professional qualification and registration with appropriate professional body. Evidence of up‑to‑date training related to contemporary mental health practice. Knowledge Understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 (revised 2007). Understanding of the Children Act 1989. Knowledge of safeguarding children and how to manage this within a specialist mental health setting. Experience Minimum of one year's postgraduate experience in a community mental health setting. Demonstrated broad range of therapeutic clinical skills for the post. Experience of providing clinical supervision. Experience of community care coordination. Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check to verify any previous convictions.
