We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineering Apprentice to join our team in Nottingham as part of our UK Solutions business. About the Role This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while earning a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician qualification. You’ll work in an engineering environment, learning to maintain and repair complex systems while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. Perform mechanical repairs, including welding and fabrication. Diagnose faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment. Support continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and efficiency. Work in an industrial environment with strict adherence to PPE requirements. Skills and Qualities Attention to detail and a focus on safety. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Keen eye for precision work. Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn. Technically minded, with good hand skills and patience to master new techniques. Team-oriented with confidence to work independently when required. Training & Development First year: full‑time at University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre block, return to workplace one Friday per month. After initial block: AMRC Training Centre one day a week for knowledge‑based training, plus four days on‑site learning. Based in Nottingham after initial study block. Starting salary £15,348 per annum, with annual increments based on academic and placement performance. Benefits: generous pension, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, 20 flexible benefits with tax/NI savings. Qualifications Required 5 GCSEs (English Language Grade C/4+, Maths Grade C/4+, plus 3 other subjects). Successful completion of assessments at AMRC Training Centre and internal recruitment process.
