Chaplain – Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) Location: Campsfield IRC, Kidlington, Oxfordshire Type: Full-time | Permanent Campsfield IRC is preparing to open as the UK's first all-electric Immigration Removal Centre, setting a new standard in custodial care. We are seeking a compassionate and committed Faith Leader to join our multi-faith chaplaincy team, supporting the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of residents and staff. This is a unique opportunity for a religious minister to bring their calling into a diverse and dynamic environment, offering pastoral care, worship, and spiritual guidance to individuals from a wide range of faith backgrounds. Your Mission Lead and facilitate worship and religious study for your faith group, ensuring services are inclusive, respectful, and aligned with residents' spiritual needs. Provide pastoral care to residents, staff, and their families—offering comfort, counsel, and support during challenging times. Collaborate with other faith leaders, volunteers, and external religious representatives to deliver a comprehensive multi-faith programme. Maintain sacred spaces and ensure access to religious materials, artefacts, and literature appropriate to your faith tradition. Advocate for religious observance, advising management on key festivals, fasts, and holy days to ensure residents can practice their faith meaningfully. Build bridges with external faith communities, ensuring continuity of care and best practice in spiritual support. Who We're Looking For Lead worship and provide pastoral care. Hold appropriate theological or ministerial qualifications. Be committed to interfaith collaboration and respectful dialogue. Can work within a secure environment with sensitivity and discretion. Passionate about serving those in need, regardless of background or belief. Additional Requirements Be a British citizen, EU citizen with settled status, or hold Indefinite Leave to Remain.
