Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is seeking Community Nurses to join our dynamic weekend team, with additional weekday shifts to support your professional development through training and 1:1 supervision. As a nurse in our team, you will be supported to develop and broaden your skill set. To achieve this, we facilitate our staff to access an extensive training and education programme, as well a range of personal and professional development opportunities. For our newly qualified staff, we have set up a forum to facilitate a monthly meeting of peer reflection and training, designed to support those wanting to join the community soon after completion of their nurse training, as well as a trust wide preceptorship programme to develop your CPD portfolio and skills. Our service operates 8am – 10pm, 365 days a year. We can offer flexible working patterns and pride ourselves on working with our staff to ensure their work schedule supports a healthy work life balance. A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). Successful applicants will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised nursing care to patients living in the community. They will need to support the Nursing Sisters of the team to manage the caseload and support junior staff. A commitment to health promotion teaching and training is essential, to optimise our patients ability to self-manage their health needs and engage them in maintaining their wellbeing.
