This post presents an excellent opportunity for experienced clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of acute medicine to join our dynamic team committed to the delivery of the highest standard of care.The Acute Medicine service is an integral part of the Trust’s Medicine Division, providing care for a range of acutely unwell patients across our Acute Assessment Units and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan.The successful applicants will join colleagues to continue the exciting developments improving the delivery of care to these acutely unwell medical patients within the settings of Medical Assessment Unit or Bryn Ward. Specialist interest will be accommodated e.g. Respiratory, Cardiology, or Diabetes clinics. Teaching and education sessions at Edge Hill University can also be considered.These roles will require you to work across all areas in the Trust, including those designated as positive, asymptomatic and negative COVID wards.Main duties of the jobThe successful applicants will support the delivery of high-quality acute care across the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary. The post is for two new substantive appointments for full-time Acute Physicians (10 PAs each, with 2 additional PAs to be considered).
