An opportunity in our Professional & Commercial Risk team may be for you.We’re seeking a Solicitor/Associate (2+ PQE) with an interest in construction, engineering and energy claims to join the team. You’ll play an active role in the continued growth and success of the team, in collaboration with our wider practice in the North, nationally and internationally.Our team acts for all the main insurance companies and parties in the supply chain across the construction industry, and deals with the full spectrum of insurance work from policy coverage advice, recovery and strategic advice to insurers.Join a truly international firm where collaboration across disciplines fuels variety and creative problem-solving for high-calibre clients.Key ResponsibilitiesA mixed workload of construction insurance claims, including policy coverage advice on CAR/EAR issues in particularResponsibility for conducting both pre-action and litigated matters, as well as assisting more senior fee earnersResponsibility for running disclosure exercises and drafting witness statementsA good understanding of alternative dispute resolution, including mediationThe opportunity to liaise directly with experts and counselSkills, Knowledge and Expertise3+ years PQE, with insurance litigation experience, construction experience a bonusStrong relationship and client-handling skills, commensurate with experienceA good level of self-sufficiency, managing a caseload commensurate with experienceChange-oriented, with a positive, flexible approach towards the implementation of new initiativesTeam oriented and collegiate, with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the teamA willingness to work hard as part of a highly ambitious and driven teamWe are happy to talk flexible working with our Flex Forward scheme.
