Horizon Teachers are supporting an excellent secondary school in Hackney, East London, in their search for a new English Teacher to join their team this January. This permanent role is paying between M1 (£40,317) and UPS3 (£62,496).

This thriving secondary school in Hackney, East London is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to inspire and educate students across Key Stages 3 to 5.

In this permanent role, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that spark curiosity and encourage academic excellence. You will be working as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking English Department, supported by a dedicated team of staff.

This permanent role in Hackney, East London starts from January 2026 and is paying up to £62,496 per year

What the School is Looking for:

Must be a qualified teacher – QTS or PGCE is essential
Experience teaching English up to KS4 and ideally KS5
Strong behaviour management skills and a passion for the subject
Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons
