Job grade: AClosing date: 07/10/2025We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our Waste Operations team at Farnham STW.ResponsibilitiesInspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, timely and effective manner with minimum supervision to keep sites operational.Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, contractors and visitors by complying with Health & Safety at Work regulations and Thames Water guidelines.Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms and faults, identify issues, fix or escalate as needed; install new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.Record work and asset information to improve business performance; identify risks and recommend changes for resolution in day-to-day work.Provide specialist technical advice with up-to-date knowledge and contribute to coaching, training and development of staff, including the apprenticeship programme.Deliver excellent customer experience and contribute to overall customer satisfaction; interact with internal and external customers in a timely, professional, efficient, respectful and polite manner.Location and Working PatternBase location: Farnham STW – Monkton Lane, GU9 9ND.Working pattern: 38 hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30–3:36.
