As a Customer Team Member, you'll be part of a friendly team that is dedicated to helping our customers. We'll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re‑stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages. What you’ll do Friendly and thoughtful service – you’ll put customers first in everything you do: responding to queries, championing Co‑op products and Membership, working in our in‑store bakery, and doing all you can to deliver a great shopping experience Work together to make everyone’s day better – supporting your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be Help introduce new products and services – make changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together Support your local community – get involved in all kinds of activities and events A genuine care for the needs of customers and members Great people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues A positive approach to change and problem solving The flexibility to work a range of different shifts Pay £12.60 per hour Contract 12 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time Working pattern Varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview.
