Security Designer

Title - Security Design Engineer Location - Warrington We aspire to be industry leading with renewed focus on having a positive impact on everything we touch. Our specialist design team bring multi-disciplined innovation and technical skill for a wide variety of Critical National Infrastructure Projects. An opportunity has arisen for a Security Design Engineer in our Warrington office who will be working on projects for our clients. What you will be doing: Develop electronic security technical specifications following site visits and 3D scans. Liaise with subcontractor design teams to refine scope and ensure quality. Review subcontractor pricing and specifications for accuracy and cost-effectiveness. Manage Tender TQs and maintain the Tender TQ register. Assist project and tendering teams with technical documentation for bids and orders. Ensure compliance with security processes and procedures on-site and in-office. Support documentation for security accreditation within the business. Determine client security requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Collaborate with Head of Design and delivery teams to value-engineer designs while meeting client specifications and safety standards. Promote innovation and cost-effectiveness in all design activities. Provide technical input for subcontract orders and installer specifications. Produce design documentation including layouts, functional specs, schedules, and network architecture. Review and approve design deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with programme. Manage design changes through the Change Control Process and prevent scope creep. Assist with handover to Construction and Commissioning Managers. About you: Experience and knowledge of integrated security systems including Access Control, Intruder Alarm, Analogue CCTV, IP CCTV, Audio Challenge, and Intercom systems. Experience of system integration into both local and remote ARC and RVRC central security management systems. Water company experience beneficial. Experience with AMTECH. Sound knowledge of security equipment and devices. BIM / PAS 1192. Experience of producing URS and FDS documents to client briefs and specifications. Knowledge of CDM regulations and temporary works requirements. Possess an industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent. Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft packages (experience with AutoCAD software would be an advantage).
