About The Role Thales Training & Simulation team (TTS) has an outstanding opportunity for an Engineering Delivery Manager to join the team. The role will specifically focus on Bids and Projects, leading the engineering team to define, develop and deliver the solution for bids in collaboration with our partners, suppliers and the customer/end‑user. As the Engineering Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for all engineering management aspects of the TS Solution, ensuring that technical governance and strategy is defined for the life of the contract. You will assume full responsibility for the delivery, management and development of the Engineering Management Plan. Day To Day You Will Define the Engineering team’s WBS and OBS, the engineering lifecycle, the schedule of work and the engineering management plan. Direct and lead the team to achieve the project stage reviews and milestones to cost, schedule and acceptable quality. Ensure successful Customer Acceptance of the ES solution. Provide strong technical leadership to ensure the solution is matured such that it will satisfy the requirements and achieve acceptance, accreditation and certification. Manage project and technical risk and opportunity. Implement an objective and predictive monitoring regime to enable early identification of issues and risks, and definition of recovery actions to ensure on‑time acceptable delivery is achieved. Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner and that both equipment and personnel safety aspects are properly addressed throughout the Project in line with Legal and Company requirements. Work collaboratively with the wider project team, alliance partner, customer/end‑user, functions, suppliers and sub‑contractors to ensure the Project Team successfully delivers against commitments to the internal and external customers. About You You will have a background in Engineering with a strong focus on bid and project work. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. You should be well versed in dealing with complexity; navigating issues, questions and potential blockers quickly and efficiently to resolution. The following skills and experience will be key to your success in the role: Experience as an Engineering leader, able to drive the establishment of a proactive and dynamic team culture where all team members are encouraged and supported to operate to their full capability. Proven capability for complex systems development working across the whole product lifecycle. A sound understanding of System Engineering principles, processes and practices. Strong interpersonal soft skills and excellent communication. Commercially knowledgeable and astute. Focus on Customers/End‑Users. Experience of training solution development, integration and acceptance (desirable). Contract negotiations and dispute resolution (desirable).
