Accounts Semi-SeniorSouthend-on-Sea A progressive accountancy practice are now seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their Southend-on-Sea office. This position is ideal for someone currently studying towards an AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualification and looking to expand their practical experience in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You'll work closely with experienced professionals, gaining hands‑on exposure to a diverse range of clients and industries. Role Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. Support the production of corporation tax, VAT, and personal tax returns. Collaborate with senior team members to ensure client work is completed on time and to a high technical standard. Take part in audit assignments, including planning, on‑site fieldwork, and report completion. Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with current accounting and regulatory standards. Contribute to internal process improvements and the development of best practices. Provide guidance to junior colleagues, helping to develop their technical understanding and professional confidence. Build positive, professional relationships with clients through clear communication and consistent service delivery. Personal Requirements Studying towards (or part-qualified in) AAT, ACA, or ACCA. Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly. Comfortable managing multiple projects and working to deadlines. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general accounting software. A proactive, reliable team player with a professional attitude and strong ethical standards. Benefits Hybrid working.
