General Practitioner – Dixton Surgery (NHS) Join to apply for the GP role at the NHS Dixton Surgery. Job Summary We are looking for a GP to cover a long‑term maternity post starting at the beginning of March 2026 for 12 months. 4 sessions per week on a Wednesday and Thursday. Main duties include pre‑booked face‑to‑face appointments with some telephone slots, and coverage for holiday or sickness duty doctor sessions. About Us Dixton Surgery is a busy dispensing practice located on the edge of Monmouth, serving patients across Wales and England. The practice serves a population of around 5,000 patients, resides in a rural setting, and shares clinical leadership and medical staffing with Monnow Vale Community Hospital. It also serves three large care homes and a forensic psychiatric hospital. Conduct consultations, prescribe medication, refer patients to appropriate secondary care. Deal with administrative tasks, assist GP colleagues with prescription signing, medication queries, and filing of lab reports.
