OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our UK Infrastructure Business Unit to take full commercial responsibility and ownership for the project, working closely with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager and the construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships and maximising commercial returns and managing risk.John Sisk & Son have been building excellence as a family-owned international construction company by offering trust, certainty and value to our clients whilst being at the heart of change.ResponsibilitiesIntegrate the commercial strategy, amending to suit project as it develops.Liaise with and commercially influence/challenge the other members of the team and the construction process.Take ownership for, administer and represent the company in commercial and contractual issues, including but not limited to:Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontracts, finalising subcontract orders, and financially and commercially managing to Final Account completion.Prepare and agree valuations, including generating certificates and invoice/payments.Update projected Final Accounts on a regular basis and prepare, submit and agree Final Account in a timely manner.Take responsibility for control of traditional contracts and contracts over €/£15m.Manage the recording and submission of claims in respect of delay and loss/expense; formulate detailed arguments and make representations to relevant parties.QualificationsLegal appreciation / overviewCPD – Legislation and Industry TrendsCVR appreciationPresentation and communication skillsManage both people and situations sensitively and to commercial advantageCommercially inventive and astuteAdditional InformationCompetitive salary with yearly increasesCompany car or car allowanceHealthcare26 days holiday (option to purchase 5 more)Employer pensionDeath in service – life assuranceCompetitive mileage rateTravel expensesFlexible and remote workingEnhanced parental leaveProfessional and educational developmentOur people are at the heart of our success and our proposition to them is to work with purpose, have time for life, build a career with no limits and surround yourself with great people.
