Female Support Worker Location: Elsdon Mews, South Shields Hours: 39 hours per week, 13‑hour shifts usually 8am to 9pm, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and sleepovers (with allowance). Pay: £12.50 per hour (full/part‑time contract). About the role As a Support Worker you will provide domestic services, social support, personal care, medication support and meal preparation to six adults with learning disabilities living in their own homes. You will deliver creative, dynamic, person‑centred services and support the individuals in meeting their goal of living an independent and fulfilling life. Key responsibilities Assist with daily living tasks: personal hygiene, dressing, meal planning/preparation and medication management. Follow detailed support plans to ensure safety and well‑being of residents. Support residents in developing life skills that promote independence. Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided. Qualifications & requirements Previous experience in a similar role required. UK DBS check (current and full) mandatory. Full UK manual driving licence essential. Shift patterns Typical shift: 8am to 9pm, 13 hours. Shifts may include day, evening, night and weekend work, and sleepovers with allowance.
