Job Title: Analytical Development Scientist Vacancy type: 6 Month Temp Rolling (potential for permanent) Area: Skipton Salary: DOE The Role of the Analytical Development Scientist As an Analytical Development Scientist, you will be responsible for contributing to the successful and timely development of novel and generic pharmaceutical products. Your key duties will include: Developing, validating, and transferring analytical methods to support the characterisation of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and drug products Measuring critical physicochemical properties to identify potential stability, manufacturing, and performance issues Actively managing priorities and schedules to meet or exceed project milestones Authoring and reviewing technical documents, such as protocols, reports, test methods, and operating procedures Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and execute studiesThe Ideal Candidate for the Analytical Development Scientist Role To thrive in this role, you will need: A proven, recent track record in analytical chemistry, with experience in techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR, UV-vis, and physical characterisation - Experience working with solid dosage forms is highly desirable. Recent hands-on experience in analytical method development and validation, particularly in HPLC and dissolution A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences Ideally 2 or more years of experience in analytical development Strong verbal and written communication skills in English A working knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FDA, EMEA, and VICH/ICH guidelines Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environmentIf you're an analytical chemistry enthusiast with an interest in driving pharmaceutical innovation, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and make a real impact.
