Senior Engineer

**Role Title: Senior Engineer (Civil & Structural)****Location: Hybrid working with one of the following as a primary site: Derby, Warrington or Manchester****Salary: We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £62,500 DOE**We are Rolls-Royce SMR and we're doing something that's never been done before. This is more than just a job; this is a legacy.We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Engineer, to be involved in an industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.Reporting to one of the Team Leaders in the Reactor Island Civil and Structural Team, this role will be responsible for delivering packages of civil and structural analysis and design work including calculations, analysis models, technical reports and general project deliverables.* The candidate will be required to demonstrate contribution to reducing/managing conventional health and safety risks in the design of the RR SMR Plant.* The candidate will be required to demonstrate contribution to development of an integrated design and safety case for the elements of the RR SMR Plant within their scope.* The candidate will be required to demonstrate contribution to identification, management of and verification and validation of requirements for the elements of the RR SMR Plant within their scope.* The candidate will be required to demonstrate contribution to successful delivery of programme milestone and technical governance in accordance with time, cost and quality metrics.* The candidate will be required to demonstrate successful delivery of packages of design work within their scope in accordance with time, cost and quality metrics.* The candidate will be required to demonstrate contribution towards the RR SMR organisational objectives as agreed with their line manager.* The candidate will be required to demonstrate behaviours in accordance with the RR SMR values and behaviours objectives.* The candidate will be required to demonstrate contribution towards fostering a positive, inclusive and respectful working environment, where team members feel valued, are empowered to make decisions and challenge direction, with physical and mental well being maintained as a key priority.Salary and package* We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £62,500 DOE* Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%* Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package* Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.* Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.* Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care* Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay* £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchasesYou’ll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that values transparency, fairness, and innovation.
