You do not need a degree or care qualifications to be a Care Assistant, but you will need the right values. Each day is varied, and you will need to have a can-do attitude.Pay: £12.82 p/hr (drivers) / £12.25 p/hr (walker) (paid per shifts not per call, travel time included)Mileage - 45p per mile for drivers & 20p per mile for cyclistsBonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.For this role we are recruiting:1x part-time female Care Assistant1x part-time male Care AssistantAs a Care Assistant for Be Caring, your working hours will be aligned to our shift patterns, which for this role include late shift working and alternate weekends.Early Shifts: 7:00am - 2:00pmLate Shifts: 4:00pm-10:00pmBenefitsFully funded DBS.Paid induction training: 1 week classroom-based (Monday - Friday), 2 days shadowing and additional online modules.Training development: funded Level 2 and other accredited courses.Holiday pay: annual leave accumulates with working hours and length of service.Employee Assistance Programme (EAP): 24-hour helpline, advice and guidance for yourself and dependents.Union membership (optional): through our partnership with the GMB.Job DescriptionYou may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Care Assistant for Be Caring, patience, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.As a Care Assistant working within Wallsend, you will:Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.Promote independence using enabling approaches.Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.Induction TrainingWe are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. For this role you do not need care experience, we recognise you will have many transferable skills from previous roles, for example as a shop assistant.
