We are pleased to be offering a new vacancy due to our continued growth and success for an ambitious Graduate to 2 years experience to join our Ground Engineering team in Bolton.With an industry leading and award-winning ground engineering team of chartered geologists, engineers and environmental scientists, together with our Specialists in Land Contamination (SiLC), we support projects from feasibility, through planning and on to successful completion.The roleYou will be involved in an interesting variety of projects across a range of sectors and clients such as, energy (linear infrastructure), property development, infrastructure, mining, local authorities, waste management to name a few.• Completion of Phase I ground engineering, contaminated land, mining / geology and desk studies;• Act as a Site Engineer or supporting role, supervising multiple ground investigation / ground remediation / CQA activities on either short or long duration projects with potential working away from home;• Supervision of site works including logging of soils and rock (in accordance with current UK standards);• Site monitoring activities to include groundwater sampling and gas monitoring;• Specify and supervise in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with UK specifications and current technical standards;• Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors throughout the site work phase;• Assist in the preparation of Health and Safety and contract documentation and administration of contracts (including financial control); and• Geotechnical and Geo-environmental data assessment, analysis and reporting.About usSLR are global leaders in Sustainability Solutions, helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals.
