Revenues & Benefits Quality Assurance Officer – 13697 Salary: £28.54 per hour (Inside IR35) Location: Esher, A minimum of 1 day per week in the office. Contracting Authority: Government ClientContract Length: 12 weeksClearance: DBS The postholder must have and maintain a good knowledge of the relevant legislation and court cases in relation to the Benefits and Local Taxation function of a Local Authority. Good communication and negotiation skills to deal with difficult situations in a tactful and assertive manner. Good IT skills and previous experience using Revenues and Benefits software (preferable Academy) would be advantageous. Desirable Knowledge of Local Taxation or Housing Benefit Working in a Quality Assurance or equivalent environment. Essential Access to a suitable vehicle. Education to GCSE, O Level or equivalent. Familiarity with a computerised system and updating records in live environment. Familiarity of working with legislative/ administrative or other rules/regulations and the need to interpret these in individual circumstances. Working with a wide range of complex data. The ability to adapt the presentation of complex data in a format appropriate to the audience. Ability to deal diplomatically, build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to use own initiative to identify and source information. The ability to effectively manage one’s own work ensuring a high standard of professional competence and accuracy and that targets are met. Organised and able to maintain clear, accurate records of information sources. Use of Microsoft Office to an intermediate standard, in particular Excel.
