About the RoleGee Communications are expanding our fast‑growing M&E and Telecoms division and are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and dynamic Electrical Estimator to join our longstanding commercial team. Key duties include:Provide accurate costings for control systems and site electrical installations to existing clients and potential customers.Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, budget and expectations and propose the most appropriate solutions.Understand specifications and electrical schematics.Work closely with suppliers to achieve the best possible costings.Work independently to provide timely quotes and win new business with precision and attention to detail.Strive for continuous improvement in quality and use initiative to deliver innovative solutions.Assist other departments such as design, production, site installation, sales and technical support as needed to help them understand the client’s needs.QualificationsWe are looking for someone with the drive and enthusiasm to learn new skills within the Rail industry and provide excellent customer service to our clients. Essential criteria include:HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering.Experience using estimating packages.Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with clients, suppliers and colleagues.Strong background in Commercial or Rail Electrical Installation and Electrical Control Systems.Ability to understand electrical specifications, schematics, drawings, block cable diagrams and BOQ’s.Good understanding of electrical standards.Ability to complete Tender submissions and PQQ.High attention to detail and strong business acumen.Excellent IT skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office.Ability to self‑manage and prioritise to meet deadlines.Positive attitude.Willingness to develop and learn new skills with on‑and‑off the job training.Desirable criteria:2–3 years electrical design estimator experience.AutoCAD experience.ECS 18th Edition Gold Card.Full driving licence.About Gee CommunicationsGee Communications Ltd offers a wide range of services from design and installation to maintenance and technical support, providing a one‑stop shop to our customers.
